Planning camera positions
Useful coverage depends on more than the number of cameras. Entrance points, driveways, gardens, mounting height, lighting and blind spots all need considered. We can discuss the areas you want to view and plan practical positions before cabling begins.
Why choose wired IP CCTV?
Wired CCTV is recommended where practical. A direct network cable normally gives each camera a more reliable and consistent connection than relying entirely on Wi-Fi—particularly outdoors or at the edge of wireless coverage.
Power-over-Ethernet systems can carry power and data over the same network cable, helping create a tidy, dependable installation connected back to the recorder or PoE network equipment.
Remote viewing and handover
Where supported by the chosen system, remote viewing can be configured on a phone or tablet. We will show you the everyday controls needed to view cameras and recordings before the job is completed.
Existing CCTV problems
Help is also available for cameras that have gone offline, unreliable remote viewing, damaged connections and network-related CCTV faults. The system will be assessed before replacement equipment is recommended.
